Inked In Chant studies Sak Yant as a structured visual system shaped by both design and ritual.

Through field research in Chiang Mai, it documents how these tattoos function in practice, beyond their visual form. Using these observations, the project translates key structural principles such as symmetry, hierarchy, and repetition into a series of contemporary tattoo designs.

Rather than replicating traditional Sak Yant, the work explores how its underlying system can be adapted within a modern context, and what is preserved or altered in the process.
