About

Meixu is an interior designer whose practice revolves around a deep and persistent curiosity for the untapped possibilities of space.

Rather than approaching interiors as fixed containers for function, she sees them as fluid fields of potential shaped by perception, movement and memory.

Her work is guided by conceptual clarity, where every design decision, from the broadest spatial gesture down to the smallest material detail, is rooted in a clear idea about how a space should feel and be inhabited. At the same time, Meixu brings a refined sensitivity to atmosphere, understanding that light—whether sharp and direct, or soft and diffused—has the power to reshape not only visibility but emotion.

She plays with materiality as a tactile language, using texture, weight and reflection to create subtle shifts in mood. Boundaries between inside and outside, open and intimate, stillness and flow are carefully reconsidered in each project. The result is environments that are both emotionally resonant and rigorously functional—spaces that do not simply appear beautiful but tell a quiet, unfolding story.

For Meixu, design is not only about arranging objects, but about crafting lived narratives, where every inhabitant becomes a part of the space’s ongoing dialogue. Through this approach, she invites people to rediscover the unfamiliar within the familiar, turning everyday spaces into places of curiosity, comfort and meaning.

Re-bonding

Re-Bounding addresses the lack of interaction between elderly and younger generations within the community.

Many elderly residents experience a diminished sense of self-worth due to reduced income and social roles, while younger individuals, absorbed in digital platforms, often overlook real-world connections.

The project introduces a shared environment centred on recycling, crafting, planting and movement. Through these activities, both groups engage in hands-on participation and informal exchange. Elderly users contribute experience and knowledge, while younger participants bring new perspectives and energy.

By fostering interaction through shared action, the project encourages mutual learning and redefines the value of both generations, building a more connected and inclusive community.
